Info Testing of a jet-assisted take-off system at March Base, California, on 12 December 1941. This system consisted of a Guggenheim Aeronautical Laboratory-designed booster attached to an ERCO Ercoupe. Piloted by Captain Homer A. Boushey Jr., it was the first JATO test in the United States. Support Interesting. – Chris, I would suggest to change the gallery link to Commons:Featured pictures/Historical/1900s#1940-1949 because we use the Air transport gallery only for (more or less) contemporary photos, all historical photos of aircraft etc. are in the ‘Historical’ gallery. – Aristeas (talk) 11:00, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
- Changed, thank you. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 11:18, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
